WESTBURY, N.Y. - The Purchase College golf team participated in a pre-Skyline Conference Championship event Friday afternoon, competing down in Long Island at Eisenhower Park.

The event was hosted at the site of the Skyline Championships, which will take place just two days from now.

For the day, the Panthers finished seventh out of eight teams with a score of 353.

Placing first was Farmingdale State College with a total score of 296, while St. Joseph's University-Long Island came in second with 315.

Individually, Christian Miesegaes (JR/Staten Island, NY) was the top finisher for the Blue and Orange, as he shot an 82.

His score tied for 17th overall out of 43 golfers.

Arthur Nelbach IV (SO/Cornwall, NY) and Steve Mains (5th/Mount Kisco, NY) tied for the second-best finish on Purchase with an 88.

Rounding out the contest for the Panthers was Ryan Haberski (FY/Saugerties, NY) with a 95 and Will D'Ambrosia (FY/Rocky Point, NY) with a 98. 

Up next for the squad is day one of the Skyline Conference Championship, which begins at 10 a.m. on October 19th.
