FARMINGDALE, N.Y. - The Purchase College golf team participated in the Farmingdale State College Invitational Friday afternoon, which was played on Bethpage Red Course.
The venue will be the location of the Skyline Conference Championship this weekend, as the teams used the invite to get familiar with the course.
Overall, the Panthers finished seventh out of eight teams, coming in +61 strokes over par. The winner on the day was the Rams of Farmingdale, as they took first place with a score of +20.
Individually, the Blue and Orange were led by
Arthur Nelbach (FY/Cornwall, NY), who tied for 17th out of 43 golfers with a score of 80 (+10).
Christian Miesegaes (SO/Staten Island, NY) was the next finisher with an 85, while
Steve Mains (SR/Mount Kisco, NY) totaled an 87 in the effort.
Rounding out the group of five for the Panthers was
Bennett Parli (FY/East Quogue, NY) with an 89 and
Zach Collins (SR/Victor, NY) with a 107.
Up next for Purchase is the aforementioned Skyline Conference Championship, which will take place over two days, beginning on September 29th.
