PURCHASE, N.Y. - This past week was a historic one for Purchase College junior
Liam Daly, as the baseball star earned a trio of rare and remarkable awards to cap off his brilliant 2025 campaign.
The biggest of the bunch was being named to the
D3baseball.com 2025 All-American Third Team as a first baseman.
For context, across the entire country, over hundreds of players, only two other first basemen were considered to have had a better seasons than the Babylon native.
It is a remarkable feat, and in fact, is just the second time in Purchase history a Panther has earned such an honor. The first time it happened was Ronald Echavarria '14 back in 2013, when he also landed on the third team.
As for the other two awards, Daly was also named to the
2025 ABCA/Rawlings NCAA Division III All-Region 3 First Team and the
D3baseball.com 2025 All-Region 3 First Team.
The recognitions were just icing on the cake for an already record-breaking campaign, as the big power hitter collected the Skyline Conference Baseball Player of the Year title, as well All-Skyline Conference First Team the week prior.
Overall, Daly finished the year with an outstanding .496 batting average, which was tied for second in the entire nation, 58 hits, seven home runs, 13 doubles, 45 RBIs, 35 runs, 15 walks and 16 stolen bases.
Already one of the most successful players in school history, Daly will look to build on it when he returns to the field for his senior campaign in March 2026.
