Bronx, NY (Feb. 27, 2012) – The College of Mount Saint Vincent dealt Purchase a 3-0 loss Monday night.

CMSV middle blocker Brett Holiday posted a career-high 11 kills and Joe Ecock recorded a career-best six aces as the Dolphins got back on track in the victory.

CMSV took the match by scores of 25-19, 25-15 and 25-13.
 
The Dolphins struggled to pull away in the first set that featured 12 ties and six lead changes. After the Panthers pulled in front 12-10, Mount Saint Vincent strung together four straight points keyed by a kill and a pair of service aces from Ecock.
 
Purchase would rally back to within 18-17, but the Mount closed out the set with seven of the final nine points to get out to the early 1-0 lead.
 
Mount Saint Vincent would jump out to early leads in the second and third sets to pick up the win. The Dolphins never looked back after jumping out to a 7-2 lead in the second stanza and in the third set, the Dolphins scored the first six points and built a lead as large as 14 to close out the match.
 
Purchase was led by Kevon Kareem Bruce (SR/Hayes, Jamaica, NY), who put away eight kills to go along with five digs and three blocks. Alex Billen-Calhoun (JR/Niskayuna, NY) handed out 14 assists and Blake Borysewicz (FR/Brooklyn, NY) chipped in with four kills and an ace.
