New Haven, CT (Mar. 24, 2012) – Host Albertus Magnus defeated Purchase 3-0 Saturday.  

The Falcons, which won two matches on the day, topped the Panthers 25-12, 25-15 and 25-16. Carlos Torres paced Albertus Magnus with 10 kills. The Falcons moved to 14-4 on the year.

In addition, Torres finished the contest with 10 assists and 11 digs to go along with his 10-kill effort.

Douglas DeSousa dished out 22 assists for the Falcons, while he added four kills and five digs. Albertus recorded 15 kills in both the first and second sets. Despite recording 23 hitting errors in the match, the Falcons were able to win their program-best 14th match of the season.

Purchase's Taylor Edelmann (JR/Bethel, CT) dished out 10 assists on the afternoon and added five digs for the Panthers.
