Panthers Play Two at Kean

Union, NJ (Mar. 4, 2012) – Purchase men's volleyball played two matches at Kean University on Sunday afternoon. Kean remained undefeated in Skyline Conference play, defeating No. 13 Ramapo and the Panthers in a quad match.

Purchase (1-11, 0-10 Skyline) would also fall to Sage, 3-0, earlier in the afternoon. Sage won 25-8, 25-12, 25-14. Against high-powered Kean, the Panthers fell 25-13, 25-13, 25-17 – playing better in the second match of the day.  

The host Cougars (14-4, 10-0 Skyline) sit atop the Skyline standings after defeating Ramapo in straight sets, handing the Roadrunners their first conference loss.   

Blake Borysewicz (FR/Brooklyn, NY) led the way against Kean, totaling a team-high eight kills.

Against Sage, the Panthers were led by Kevon Kareem Bruce (SR/Hayes, Jamaica). He totaled seven kills. Alex Billen-Calhoun (JR/Niskayuna, NY) handed out 21 assists in defeat.

The Panthers return to action Friday night at Lehman College.
