Old Westbury's Jennifer Jean delivered the eventual game-winning single in the first to score Nicole Petrucci to give Old Westbury an early 1-0 lead.  Old Westbury broke the game open in the second inning with seven runs to grab an eight-run advantage.

Alyssa Clancy (8-6) posted her fourth shutout of the season, scattering three hits while striking out six. Purchase starter Lindsay Froman (SR/Medina, NY) took the loss, surrendering 10 runs (9 earned) off 10 hits and four walks.

Jean led Old Westbury's offensive attack, going 3-for-3 at the plate with two RBI's and one run scored.

In the finale, Old Westbury started strong with a five-run second inning to take command of the game early on.  Corrine Protasiewicz singled home Clancy to put Old Westbury ahead, 1-0.  Three batters later,  Jean and Nicole Petrucci tallied back-to-back two-run doubles to close out the second inning scoring.

Clancy retired the first 11 Purchase batters until a two out single by Christine Leo (SO/Monroe, CT) broke up her bid for a perfect game. Clancy finished with seven strikeouts, allowing one hit over five innings.

Leo registered a team-best 2-for-3 performance at the plate for Purchase in game two.
