Bronx, NY (Mar. 2, 2013) – Men's volleyball lost two matches Saturday at the College of Mount Saint Vincent, falling in straight sets to league powers New Jersey City University and Ramapo.

NJCU won 3-0 (25-12, 25-14, 25-19) behind a balanced attack. Arslani Besmir and Kendall Tribbett recorded nine and eight kills, respectively, leading NJCU to the victory. In the loss, Kevon Kareem Bruce (JR/Hayes, Jamaica) totaled a team-high nine kills. Taylor Edelmann (SR/Bethel, CT) added four as NJCU improved to 10-7 overall.

Ramapo, which improved to 12-5 following the 3-0 win over the Panthers, is 10-1 in the Skyline Conference. Ramapo earned an impressive 25-7, 25-7, 25-11 win against Purchase, which drops to 1-11 on the season.

Bruce led the Panthers with three kills in the loss to Ramapo. Mike Kane paced Ramapo with eight kills.

Purchase returns to action on March 12 at Lehman College.
