New York, NY (Apr. 9, 2013) – The men's volleyball season came to a close at Yeshiva Tuesday night.

The Maccabees earned a 3-1 win.

Daniel Lapson hit a match-high .480 on a 13-2-25 hitting line, while YU's Jared Rechnitz added 13 kills on .455 hitting at the Max Stern Athletic Center. The Macs posted a 25-23, 25-19, 22-25, 25-15 final in the Skyline Conference season finale.

The host Maccabees (11-18, 1-13) earned a season split with the Panthers (1-19, 1-13) by out-hitting the visitors .222 to .025, and registering a 9-7 edge in service aces.

An injury to Jeromy Barton (SR/Mahopac, NY) slowed Purchase midway through the match and made it tough to recover, especially with a smaller roster on hand for the finale.

Taylor Edelmann (SR/Bethel, CT) and Kevon Kareem Bruce (JR/Hayes, Jamaica) led Purchase with 15 and 14 kills, respectively. Alex Billen-Calhoun (SR/Niskayuna, NY) paced the visitors with 28 assists.
