New Rochelle, NY (Apr. 16, 2013) – Purchase's offense got rolling at the College of New Rochelle Tuesday night, rolling to 10-2 and 16-1 wins, respectively.

Game one featured 15 hits from the Panthers, including three hits from Abigail Katz (SR/Livingston, NJ). Katz added two runs as well. ToniAnn Licata (SO/Mount Kisco, NY), Alexandra Prescia (FR/Staten Island, NY), Alexis Vallario (SR/Yonkers, NY) and Juliet-Rain Pagan (JR/Bronx, NY) also had big afternoons at the plate. Kristy Colangelo (FR/Staten Island, NY), Licata, Prescia and Tara Stiansen (FR/Hampton Bays, NY) all homered, with Licata, Prescia, Vallario and Pagan accounted for two hits apiece. Vallario doubled in the win and Pagan tripled in the victory – a comfortable win for starter Christine Leo (JR/Monroe, CT), who limited the Blue Angels in the opener.

The Panthers scored four more runs in the first inning of game two and then broke out another big inning in the second frame, notching 12 runs en route to another shortened victory.

Katz, Colangelo, Cassandra Armstrong (JR/Schenectady, NY) and Pagan all recorded two hits apiece as Purchase totaled 15 more hits in game two. Vallario was the star offensively, smashing three hits and driving home three, belting her first home run of the day. Leo also homered, netting four RBI in the resounding win. Armstrong earned the victory on the hill – her first of the season.

Purchase (5-18) will close out its season this coming weekend.
