Purchase, NY (Apr. 30, 2013) – Purchase softball wrapped the season Tuesday with a non-conference matchup against powerhouse Baruch College.

The Bearcats, 11-1 in the CUNYAC, earned an 8-0 win for their 19th win of the season. Five players recorded two hits apiece for Baruch, including staff ace Nicole Flint. Flint drove home three RBI in support of her own cause. She pitched a complete game on the hill for the victory.

Tara Stiansen (FR/Hampton Bays, NY) and Christina Sanderson (JR/Schaghticoke, NY) led the Panthers offensively, each recording hits in the loss.

Prior to the game, Purchase had a chance to briefly honor newly minted All-Skyline selection Christine Leo (JR/Monroe, CT), who received a round of applause during introductions.

The rescheduled matchup was the team's final home and regular season game of the year, officially marking the final game for three seniors (Abigail Katz, Danielle Johnson and Alexis Vallario).

Purchase won five games on the spring and is optimistic about the rebuilding process with a majority of the roster returning, including Leo, Stiansen, Kristy Colangelo (FR/Staten Island, NY), Alexandra Prescia (FR/Staten Island, NY) and ToniAnn Licata (SO/Mount Kisco, NY).
