Purchase, NY (Mar. 27, 2014) – The Purchase men's volleyball team gave a valiant effort tonight, but fell at home to visiting Kean University 3-0.

The Panthers drop to 5-9 overall and 2-6 in the Skyline Conference, while the Cougars advance to 18-7 and 8-0 in the Skyline. 
Kean jumped out to a quick lead in the opening set.  They totaled ten blocks in that set alone, downing the Panther offense to win the set 25-9.

The Cougars went on to dominate in the second and third set, running off with 25-13 and 25-14 wins. 

Leading Kean in the victory was Krzysztof Kucza who totaled nine kills, three digs and seven block assists.   Mike Scheuermann added another six kills, four block assists and 13 total attempts.

In defeat, Purchase's Kevin Carges (FR/Brockport, NY) totaled eight kills, 28 total attempts and a game-high seven digs. 

The Panthers head to the College of Mount Saint Vincent for a tri-match on Saturday.
