Bronxville, NY (Apr. 12, 2014) – Standout senior Christine Leo reached a milestone Saturday against the College of Mount Saint Vincent.

Leo (SR/Monroe, CT) is now a member of the 100-hit club. The four-year star collected two of the team's five hits in the opener and then reached the plateau in game two, adding another hit to her credit. Unfortunately for Purchase, the Dolphins took both games, 3-2 and 9-0, respectively. CMSV's Kathleen Davis struck out 11 batters in the game one win and Rianna Laughridge hit a three-run home run in game two.
 
After falling behind 2-0 in the opener, Mount Saint Vincent scored single runs in the third, fourth and fifth for the come-from-behind victory. Joann Guerra got the Dolphins on the board in the third with a run scoring single before freshman Mackenzie Heizer tied the score at 2-2 with a solo home run in the fourth.
 
With the score tied 2-2 in the fifth, the Dolphins scored the eventual game-winning run on a Purchase miscue. Kathryn Dalton reached on an error that allowed Danielle Maffei to cross with two outs in the inning.
 
Mount Saint Vincent outhit Purchase 6-5 in game one.  

In game two, five of the Mount's nine hits in the game went for extra bases. The Dolphins broke the game open early with a run-scoring triple from Guerra. Guerra closed out game two, going 3 for 3 with two extra base hits, two runs and two RBI.

ToniAnn Licata (JR/Mount Kisco, NY), who had two hits in the opener, added a hit in the second game. Nicole Fortuna (FR/New Rochelle, NY) also had a hit in game two. In the opener, Tara Stiansen (SO/Hampton Bays, NY) notched the other hit for the Panthers.

Saturday's twin bill win pushes Mount Saint Vincent to 19-4. Purchase is now 3-13.

The Panthers are back in action Sunday on Senior Day as they welcome Sage for a noon doubleheader.
