Farmingdale, NY (Apr. 5, 2014) – Farmingdale State topped Purchase 6-3 Saturday.  

The Rams earned wins at first, fourth, fifth and sixth singles to seal the match.
 
Although Dylan DeBiase (SR/High Falls, NY) and Pocholo Chavez (SR/Stony Point, NY) won at second and third singles, Purchase could not rebound from dropping two of three in doubles.
 
Riley Damerell (FR/Rochester, NY) and DeBiase set the tone early for the visitors with a big win at No. 1 doubles. The tandem topped Tyler Danzy and Marvin Beaubrun, 8-6, in a hard-fought matchup.
 
The Rams showed resilience of their own in victories at second and third doubles and then edged the bottom of the order to pullout the narrow win.
 
FSC improved to 5-4 overall and 3-2 in conference play, dropping Purchase to 1-7 on the season and 1-2 in the league.
