(April 20, 2015) – Defending champion Yeshiva is the top seed for the 2015 Skyline Men's Tennis Championship, which gets underway on Wednesday, Apr. 22.
The Maccabees posted a perfect 6-0 mark in league play and are led by reigning Player of the Year Igal Mostkov and sophomore David Papis Elon, a three-time Player of the Week selection this season. YU (10-3) will host fourth-seeded Mount Saint Mary (5-6) at 8:00 p.m. on Apr. 22 in semifinal action. Junior Dan Witke paces the Knights with five wins in doubles action and four victories in singles play.
The second semifinal on Wednesday, Apr. 22, consists of third-seeded Farmingdale State visiting No. 2 Purchase at 4:00 p.m. PC (9-2) enters the Championship riding a seven-match winning streak and senior
Cedric Bluman (Tarrytown, NY) is a perfect 10-0 in singles action. Led by sophomore Chris Hunter, a two-time Skyline Player of the Week honoree, Farmingdale State (9-4) seeks its fourth league crown in five seasons.
