Pine Valley, NY (Feb. 21, 2016) – The Purchase College men's tennis team went 2-1 over the weekend as they opened the 2016 season with a 5-4 victory over Farmingdale State on Friday evening, followed by an 8-1 sweep over Alfred University on Saturday morning.  The Panthers later dropped a 2-7 decision to host Elmira College Saturday evening.  

Riley Damerell (JR/Rochester, NY),  Joseph Troop (SR/Yonkers, NY) and Danny De La Cruz (JR/Bronx, NY) posted 2-1 marks at No. 1, 2 and 3 singles, respectively.  Damerell and Troop also teamed up to go 3-0 at No. 1 doubles.
