Purchase, NY (Apr. 14, 2016) – The Purchase men's tennis team was handed its first Skyline Conference loss of the season at the hands of Yeshiva University on Thursday, 9-0, at the Panthers' home courts.

The Maccabees (9-3, 5-0 SKY) set the tone early by sweeping all three doubles matches.  Riley Damerell (JR/Rochester, NY) and Joseph Troop (SR/Yonkers, NY) posted the closest score for Purchase (6-4, 1-1 SKY) on the evening at No. 1 doubles, but fell by an 8-4 final score.

Yeshiva kept it rolling during singles action and posted straight set victories at all six flights.  Troop again had a hand in the most contested match of the day along with rookie Isaac Lee (FR/New York, NY). 

Troop fell to Dmitri Lebedyev 6-0, 7-5 at second singles while Lee dropped the No. 6 slot, 6-3, 7-5. 

Purchase is back in action this Sunday as the Panthers get set to host conference foe Farmingdale State for a 12 p.m. match.
