(Apr. 14, 2018) – The Purchase College men's tennis team dropped a Skyline Conference match to Farmingdale State, 5-4, Saturday afternoon. With the loss, the Panthers fall to 2-7 overall and 2-4 in the league.
The close match included Purchase wins at both the singles and doubles No. 1 and 2 spots.
Hope Crawford (FR/Mamaroneck, NY) and
James Ham (SO/Rye, NY) defeated Steven Gaudio amd Daniel Kafka, 8-4, at first doubles.
Austin Schmitt (SO/Hilton, NY) and
Finbar Stuart (JR/Woodstock, NY) posted an 8-6 victory at the No. 2 spot.
Crawford went on to win at No. 1 singles with a score of 6-0, 6-0, respectively, and Ham took the No. 2 singles match by default.
Purchase returns to action on Tuesday with a home match against Sarah Lawrence College starting at 5 p.m.
