FLUSHING, N.Y. – Purchase College cruised to a 9-0 victory over John Jay College in a non-conference match Saturday afternoon at the USTA National Tennis Center.

With the win, the Panthers advanced to 2-1 overall while the host Bloodhounds dropped to 0-1 to start their season. 

Purchase opened up action with perfect 8-0 scores at first and second doubles before collecting 6-0, 6-0 victories at the top four singles positions. 

The Panthers picked up wins by forfeit at third doubles and fifth and sixth singles.

Purchase returns to its home court on Monday at 4 p.m. to play host to non-conference Ramapo College.
