FREDONIA, N.Y. - The Purchase College men's and women's cross country teams competed in the NCAA Division III Niagara Regional on Saturday, facing some of the toughest programs in the Northeast.
Men's Results
Bobby Royston (JR/Nyack, NY) finished 82 out of 170 racers in the men's 8k race. He completed with 27:42.6 pacing a 5:34.4 average mile.
Reece Grieshaber (FY/Fairport, NY) followed with a time of 31:28.8 (6:19.9/mile), while senior
Luke Colon (Bronx, NY) ended his collegiate career clocking 31:38.6.
Alexander Carbo (FY/Hopedale, MA) posted 32:11.6, and
Timo Berry (SO/Albany, NY) finished at 35:47.8.
Kieran Denny (FY/South Salem, NY) rounded out the team, crossing in 54:52.5.
The team placed 20th overall.
Women's Results
Victor Vyssotski (JR/Tarrytown, NY) paced the women's side, completing the 6K in 29:08.0 (7:48.8/mile).
Madeline Ortiz (FY/Yonkers, NY) recorded a time of 34:29.5, while
Devynn Hernandez (SO/Ossining, NY) finished with 40:58.2.
With only three competitors, the women's team did not score, but each runner displayed individual determination.
