ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. – The Purchase College cross country teams continued their fall campaign at the Fred Pavlich Invitational, hosted by Bard College on Saturday Morning. The meet drew 15 women's teams with more than 130 runners, while the men's race featured 16 teams and nearly 150 competitors.
The Panther women placed 7th overall in the White Division with 136 points. Flora Parker-Myers (FY/Kingston, NY) paced the team with a 12th-place finish in 27:44.3. Victor Vyssotski (SR/Tarrytown, NY) was right behind her in 28:01.3, good for 13th place.
Senior Isabella Pizza (36:35.3) and senior Melissa Harper (36:35.6) finished stride-for-stride at 62nd and 63rd, while senior Helen Huang (1:03:21.0) rounded out the lineup in 72nd.
On the men's side, Alexander Carbo (JR/Hopedale, MA) led the Blue and Orange with a 13th-place finish in 31:13.7. Timothy Berry (5thYR/Albany, NY) followed in 40:06.4.
Kevin Sanguina (SO/Patterson, NY) pacing 43:06.9 and senior Christian Barragan (46:48.4) closed the scoring for Purchase in 58th and 62nd place, respectively.
Up next, the Panthers are set to compete in the Paul Short Run at Lehigh University on October 3rd.
