PURCHASE N.Y. - The Purchase College men's and women's swim team faced off against Maritime College Friday night, with
David Whitmer (SR/San Antonio, TX) completing his first dive as a Panther, scoring 121.50 points in the men's 1-meter event, marking a historic event for the team.

Women's Highlights
In individual events, standout swims came from Paris Judy (JR/Buffalo, NY), who won the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 2:31.60, and Jill Creegan (FY/High Falls, NY), making her swim debut, who took first in the 50-yard freestyle, finishing in 29.21. Judy also earned second in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 1:08.38. Victor Vyssotski (JR/Tarrytown, NY) had a solid performance in the 500-yard freestyle, clocking in at 7:57.59. Riley Langford (SO/Queensbury, NY) finished second in the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 1:41.92, adding to Purchase's competitive showing in the pool.
Men's Highlights
The men's team shined in the 200-yard medley relay, with the lineup of Daniel Maloney (SR/Pelham, NY), Zach Redlund, Whitmer, and Lukes Vukdedaj securing first place with a time of 1:54.42.
In individual events, Nicolas Nunez claimed second in the 50-yard freestyle, finishing in 30.18. Redlund had strong finishes in both the 200-yard freestyle, taking second with a time of 2:16.40, and the 100-yard breaststroke, finishing second in 1:16.71. Whitmer also performed well, securing second in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 59.25, while Senan Scott-Hamblen took second in the 100-yard backstroke, clocking in at 1:57.71.
The Blue and Orange will be back in action November 13th, hosting Baruch College at 6:00 p.m.
