BETHLEHEM, PA – The Purchase College cross country teams competed Friday at the Paul Short Run, hosted by Lehigh University. The meet featured over 35 women's and 35 men's teams, with more than 2,500 runners from across the country.
Flora Parker-Myers (FY/Kingston, NY) once again led the Panthers, clocking 26:12.2 for 138th overall in the crowded 6K field. Victor Vyssotski (SR/Tarrytown, NY) followed in 27:04.0. Senior Isabella Pizza came in next at 35:12.6, while Mel Harper (SR/Patchogue, NY) and Madeline Ortiz (SO/Yonkers, NY) ran side by side throughout the race both clocking a 35:24.5 finish. Helen Huang (SR) rounded out the lineup.
The team placed 31/35 and competed with about 300 runners in their bracket.
On the men's side, Alexander Carbo (JR/Hopedale, MA) paced the Panthers with a time of 33:58.1, followed by Reece Grieshaber (SO/Fairport, NY) in 36:24.5. Timo Berry (5th year/Albany, NY) clocked 41:02.7, while Kevin Sanguina (SO/Patterson, NY) and senior Christian Barragan (43:26.7) completed the scoring for Purchase.

Up next, the Blue and Orange head back to Long Island to race in the SJNY Invitational on October 18.
