Greenwich, CT (Oct. 16, 2013) – A dual meet between Purchase and visiting Sage went down to the wire Wednesday evening at Tamarack Country Club in Greenwich, with the host Panthers pulling out the victory.

The "Purchase Dual" started just after high noon with two sharpshooting Skyline Conference teams squaring up. A very competitive match ensued with the Panthers edging out Sage 311 to 320 at the 6709 yard, Par 70 course.

The Panthers were led by Camden Fix (FR/Fulton, NY), who's (34-38) 72, included two birdies, 13 pars, two bogies and one double bogie.  "My putting and iron play was spot-on, which lead to the nice score," Fix said afterward. "I'm happy I could contribute to the team."

Michael Wyckoff (JR/Queens, NY) and Anthony Siguil (JR/New Rochelle, NY) both shot 79s, and Rory Mazur (SO/Ridgefield, CT) added an 81 to round out the scoring. Mike Allar (SO/Thornwood, NY) shot a 90 in the effort.

The Gators were paced by Zach Sullivan's 75. Ritchie Christman and Kevin Johnston shot 80s and D.J. Loele added an 85 to total 320. Gerard Beaudin shot a 95.

Now, both teams will compete in the Skyline Conference championships at the Bethpage Red Course from Oct. 20-21.
