Purchase, NY (Mar. 22, 2014) – Powerhouse Farmingdale State handed Purchase its first loss of the season Saturday at home.

The Rams topped Purchase, 14-0. The Panthers are now 2-1 overall and 0-1 in league play.

FSC, which improved to 7-1 overall and 1-0 in conference play in its Skyline opener, jumped on the board early in the opening half.

Alyssa Handel scored the game's first goal off an assist from Lisa Olen. The score came a minute and a half into the action. Shortly later, Nicole Marzocca made it 2-0 off an assist from Kimberly Pepe. Olen then boosted the score to 3-0 off an assist Handel.

The visitors added five more scores before the period was up to take a commanding lead into the half and then ran away with the contest, netting six, second-half goals.

By game's end, the Rams had 14 different players score goals.

The Rams held a key advantage in draw controls (12-4), but the Panthers edged the visitors in ground balls (11-10) and were able to capitalize around the goal.

The Panthers will look to rebound at Bay Path next week on Spring Break.
