(Jan. 17, 2015) – The Purchase College swim teams started the second half of the school year at Ramapo Saturday.
The Panthers dropped both ends of the contest, with the Ramapo women earning a 134-57 decision and the Ramapo men topping Purchase 112-57 at the Bradley Center.
On the men's side, Ramapo's 200-yard medley relay teams took home first and second place. The 'A' men's relay team clocked in at 1:41.32 for a first-place finish while the 'B' team finished in 1:46.32.
Brian Henningsen and Ben Bland went 1-2 in the 200-yard freestyle. Henningsen finished with a time of 1:54.99.
On the women's side, the 200-yard medley relay team placed first overall in 1:53.94.
Victoria Barnes (20:52.01) and Megan Breznak (22:05.50) went 1-2 in the 1650-yard freestyle. In the 200-yard freestyle, Caitlyn Bach (2:09.62), Ana Nunez (2:13.76) and Devan Swistack (2:15.94) finished 1-2-3 for the Roadrunners. Meghan Trewhella captured a first place finish in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 24.61 to lead the way.

Carl Marsh (JR/Southampton, NY),
Sam Jaffe (SO/Silver Spring, MD) and
Anna Krol (SR/Oceanside, NY) all swam well in the final events as Purchase used the non-conference matchup as a tune-up for the conference championship in two weeks.
