Amber Brisacone.
The standout rookie notched seven goals in Purchase's 22-6 victory over Cedar Crest. Fellow rookie sensation
Zoe Hines (FR/Maplewood, NJ) added five more goals in the overwhelming non-conference win. Hines now has an astounding program-record 56 for the season.
For Brisacone (FR/Monroe, NY), she increased her season goals total to 26 in a dominating performance.
Not to be outdone,
Kelly Turtell (FR/Farmingdale, NY) chipped in four goals and six assists. She also added four ground balls and two draw controls.
Purchase (11-1) would connect on three straight goals to run up the score 5-1 early after Cedar Crest got on the board.
The Falcons (1-10) would show their mettle, but Panthers would add two more goals and find themselves up 9-4.
To close out the first half, the hosts' Emily Rodenberger would add two more goals less than sixty seconds apart and send the two teams into half time with the Panthers leading 11-6.
The second half would see a strong Panther defense come out and hold the Falcons scoreless for the final thirty minutes and take the game 22-6.
Individually for the Falcons, Rodenberger lead all Falcons with three goals.
Hines added four assists, one ground ball, one caused turnover and one draw control for Purchase. Brisacone recorded two assists, one ground ball and three caused turnovers to spearhead the victory.

Nathalie Lavelanet (SR/South Salem, NY) scored two goals and totaled three ground balls. Teammates
Daniella Martins (FR/Mahopac, NY),
Madi Smith (FR/Lagrangeville, NY),
Samantha Rich (JR/Providence, RI) contributed the remaining goals for the Panthers, with each scoring one apiece.
Jasmine Rippey (SR/Deansboro, NY) and
Cynthia Plackis (FR/East Northport, NY) also played well, netting seven and six ground balls, respectively. Rippey, Plackis and Brisacone shared the team lead with three draw controls.
Purchase returns to action Saturday against St. Joseph's College-LI.
