Purchase, NY (Nov. 29, 2018) – The Purchase men's and women's swim teams opened Skyline Conference action on Thursday evening when they played host to SUNY Maritime.

The Panthers fell to the visiting Privateers 151-21 on the women's side, while the Purchase men were defeated 167-29.

Purchase senior Katherine Lopez (Dix Hills, NY) secured a first-place finish in the 200-yard individual medley with a time of 2:52.91. She later clocked in at 7:03.98—good enough for second place—in the 500-yard freestyle.    
 
On the men's side, senior Harrison McDonald (Salt Lake City, UT) paced all scorers in the 200-yard IM. He recorded his second first-place finish of the season with a time of 2:16.12.

Purchase is back in the pool next on Dec. 5 for a non-conference home meet against Brooklyn College.
