ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON, NY - The Purchase College men's swimming team began the 2019-20 season with a bang Friday evening, as the Panthers topped Bard College in a non-conference meet, 92-68.
Results
The win was the team's first since November 2017 (St. Joseph's College-Brooklyn) and was powered by youth throughout the night.
Junior
George Weisner (Bluffton, SC) collected the first individual win of the year for Purchase, as he took first in the 200-IM.
Aidan Mauer (FR/Poughkeepsie, NY) won the 100-fly and
Tristan Griffen (SO/Bridgehampton, NY) placed first in the 100-free.
To cap off the victory, the Panthers secured the 200-free relay with Mauer,
Nicholas Switalski (FR/Buffalo, NY), Wesiner and
Aryell Beaulieu-Shaffer (FR/Chatham, NY).Â
Up next for the Panthers is the start of the Skyline schedule, as the team travels to Long Island to take on The College at Old Westbury. That meet is set for November 2nd at 1 p.m.Â
