NEWBURGH, NY – The Purchase College men's swim team split a Skyline Conference double dual at Mount Saint Mary College Saturday afternoon. The Panthers edged out SUNY Old Westbury, 102-90, and fell to the host Knights, 118-81.

Results

The Panther relay team of Aryell Beaulieu-Shaffer (FR/Chatham, NY), George Weisner (JR/Bluffton, SC), Aidan Mauer (FR/Poughkeepsie, NY) and Tristan Griffin (SO/Bridgehampton, NY) broke the scoring ice after recording the top finish in the 200-yard medley relay. The standout pack finished with a combined time of 1:59.85—more than four seconds ahead of the No. 2 finishers of Old Westbury.

Notable individual performances for Purchase included Mauer's 2:32.32 finish in the 200-yard IM, Griffin's 28.98 finish in the 50-yard freestyle and Weisner's 28.37 finish in the 50-butterfly.  

The Panthers will resume action, following the winter break, at York College on Jan. 21. The 2020 non-conference matchup is set for 6 p.m.
