BRONX, N.Y. - The Purchase College men's and women's swim teams competed at Lehman College Monday night, with the Panthers earning a split in the non-conference matchup.
The Purchase men bested the Lightning of Lehman by the score of 66-52, while the women were just edged by the total of 74-71.
Individually,
Nicholas Switalski (JR/Buffallo, NY) powered the win for the Panthers, as he placed first in the 200-IM, 100-free and 500-free.
Aidan Mauer (JR/Poughkeepsie, NY) also aided the victory with two first-place finishes in the 50-free and the 100-back, while
Tyler Perpall (SO/Westbury, NY) won the 100-breast to closeout the team win for the guests.
On the women's side,
Brienne Westfall (JR/Grand Island, NY) collected two wins, as she took the 100-fly and 500-free.
Diana Gilday (SR/Bellrose, NY) and
Stephanie Rhodes (JR/Rockville Centre, NY) earned first-place results in the 50-free and 100-back respectively.
Finally, the quartet of Westfall, Rhodes, Gilday and
Alison Salinas (SO/West Hempstead, NY) took first in the 200-free relay.

click here. With the win, the men moved to 1-4 overall, while the women's team dropped to 0-6 on the year.
Up next for the swim teams is a few weeks off before they return to action at the United States Merchant Marine Academy. That dual meet is set for December 1st at 6:00 p.m.
