NEWBURGH, N.Y. - The Purchase College swim teams competed at Mount Saint Mary College in a Skyline Conference dual meet Saturday afternoon, resulting in a win for the men's team and loss for the women's squad.

Gabriel Schmid-Doyle (SO/Canton, NY) provided two wins for the Panthers on the day, as he placed first in the 100-free and 200-free.

Purchase also got a first-place finishes in the 100-breast from Matthias Schmidt and the 200-free relay from Nicholas Switalski, Schmidt, Max Hogan and Max Kaufman.

For the women's team, Brienne Westfall (JR/Grand Island, NY) earned two wins in the 200-free and 500-free, while Mackenzie Gunning (SR/Wantagh, NY) placed first in the 50-free with a time of 29.09. 

With the results, the men's team is now 2-5 overall and 1-3 in the Skyline. As for the women, they sit at 0-8 and 0-5, respectively. 

Up next for the swim teams is a return home, as the Panthers welcome Hunter College for a non-conference dual meet on December 8th. That event is set to begin at 6 p.m. and you can follow along right here.
